Privacy Policy
Snoop Girlies ("we", "us") operates snoopgirlies.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. We only ever work with information that Instagram already makes public, and we never ask for your Instagram password.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe. We use it to send your results, your login link, and your alert emails.
- The Instagram usernames you search. These are stored with your account so you can see your past searches in your portal.
- Public Instagram data about the accounts you search: profile picture, follower and following counts, and the public following list. We never access private accounts, direct messages, or story viewers.
- Your watchlist: the accounts you have chosen to monitor daily.
- Technical and marketing data: IP address, browser user agent, the page you arrived on, and, if you came from a TikTok ad, the TikTok click identifier.
We do not collect or store your Instagram login, your password, or any private account data. The app never requires you to log in to Instagram.
Why we collect it
To run the service you paid for: performing searches, emailing you the results, keeping you logged in, monitoring watched accounts daily and alerting you when something changes, and taking payment. We also use aggregate analytics to understand which pages work.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors, each for one job:
- Apify retrieves the public Instagram data you request.
- Neon hosts our database.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Stripe processes payments. Your card details go to Stripe directly and we never see or store them.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Google Analytics gives us aggregate traffic statistics.
- TikTok, if you arrived from one of our ads: we send a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address and the purchase value so TikTok can attribute the sale. TikTok cannot read your email address from the hash.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
The person you search
We only process information that is already publicly visible on a public Instagram profile. We do not notify the person you search, and we do not contact them. If you are the subject of a search and want to prevent this entirely, setting your Instagram account to private removes your following list from public view, and no tool can access it after that.
How long we keep it
Search results and watchlist entries are kept while your subscription is active so your portal history works. If you cancel, we keep your account record for up to 12 months in case you come back, then delete it. You can ask us to delete everything sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Email support@snoopgirlies.com and we will action it. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your portal, and you can stop monitoring any account with one click from any alert email.
Cookies and local storage
We store a login token in your browser so you do not have to request a new email every visit, a language preference if you switch between English and Spanish, and analytics cookies. Clearing your browser storage removes all of it.
Age
This service is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For anything at all, including data requests, email support@snoopgirlies.com.
